About Our Classes
Classes involve nursery rhymes and lullabies, action songs, finger play, spoken speech patterns, dancing, rhythm songs, ensemble playing, as well as story telling. Children are encouraged to try the wide range of instruments used in class.
MEET THE TEACHER
Nicola Black
Classes are run by Nicola Black, a Suzuki trained flute teacher with over 15 years experience in teaching flute, early childhood music classes, and, more recently, working as a playgroup coordinator incorporating music into the weekly sessions. Nicola has been a guest teacher at Suzuki festivals around Australia and overseas. Having learnt music from a young age, Nicola is passionate about giving children the opportunity to develop an early interest in music, in a safe, energetic and nurturing environment.
Nicola enjoys seeing parents and children making music and early memories together. She loves spending time with her young daughter making music and memories, and is passionate about providing enriching and engaging activities for young children.
In addition to Tiny Tempos, Nicola runs The Flute Studio, teaching Suzuki flute to children from 3 years of age.
